Full Moon Lunar Eclipse

Almost September… time has wings…five months have flown by….

Since our last update, our community circle has expanded and wonderful events have taken place, including the fruition of our long and 'beautiful' community birthing process. We have been blessed with the guidance of divine spirit and the arrival of both gods and goddesses, ( i.e. healers, teachers, musicians, manifestors, poets, yogis and yoginis) who have added to the growth and diversity of our community.

A list of professional opportunities and community needs is listed at the end of the update....

March..April...May

We celebrated Spring Equinox with a mystical eight-day retreat with Santiago, a plant-medicine healer from Equador, who led us through numerous ceremonies and sweat-lodges, catalyzing a profound rebirth and healing in many of the participants. In addition to unifying and expanding the consciousness of our entire community, Santiago was able to gracefully dispel fears and judgements concerning indigenous spiritual practices during a series of heart circles we facilitated with elders representing the larger Tico, Gringo and Christian communities.

On April 22nd , we joined many communities of the South Pacific Coast to gather for the
first bio-regional Earth Day Celebration!!!
Information was offered on: Recycling programs, Medicinal plants, Sustainable tourism, Organic farming, Alternative fuels, Sustainable building practices, Jungle conservation, Reforestation, Watershed Protection, and Environmental laws

All to help preserve and nurture Mother Earth! It was a day of fun and festivities, with music, dance, food and drinks, arts and crafts; and at sunset homage was paid to Mother Earth in the form of a Goddess Ceremony on the beach, with a fire dance, to top it off !

For the full-moon of April we were honored to host representatives from Mexico, Israel, Colombia and the United States for the first official "Ecoversity" vision and planning council. For three days we gained insight and inspiration into the vision of creating a full-fledged universe-city of up to 500 students from around the world, coming to learn the full spectrum School of Life teachings, including reforestation, organic gardening, aquaculture, holistic health, yoga, nutrition, new-energy technologies, natural building, community dynamics, interpersonal relations and all other aspects of regenerative culture. We celebrated the full-moon by planting the seed of grounding the Ecoversity campus up on the 200+acre meadow of the Biaguales community parcel, located on the east side of the Tinamaste Mountains, a kilometer north of the Diamante Verde Sanctuary.

The month of May came our way and we are proud to say, that we acquired an office, to enhance our organization and communication in the highest service to all. The office telephone number is (506) 787-8076, and it is located in the village Las Tumbas", below the Diamante Verde Sanctuary between the soccerfield and local school.

The new office has allowed us to fulfill our intentions to integrate and offer "sacred service" to the local community. The local school teacher honored us with some time to teach a weekly permaculture course to the children. We initiated the students to offer a village compost collection service three times a week, which produces abundant organic compost for the new school garden. Seeing the success of the organic gardening, the school teacher gave us time to offer a weekly circus-skills course to the kids which is even more fun!

Several of the local women got inspired to learn yoga, live-food nutrition and internal cleansing, and we thus celebrated an opening of cultural exchange! We have since seen this seed germinate throughout the valley with enthusiastic dietary and lifestyle shifts.

This 'opening' inspired us to organize an exiting event for the local communities of Las Tumbas and San Salvador -- Circus Day!! Our multi-talented acrobatic-juggling-firedance community kids, who have been training with a professional European circus crew, performed and taught their incredible skills, to the joy and laughter of both young and old! Food, drinks, face painting and the circus jugglers, clowns and percussionists created an unforgettable day for the local community!

June... July
As time passed with healing heart circles and community council meetings, June knocked on our door, presenting us our fourth summer of youth adventure programs. This year we hosted 'Rustic Pathways Adventure Program.' Instead of hosting them for one night at the cave as we have in the past, we hosted them for three days shared between the Diamante Verde Sanctuary and the Baru Falls (HOME) Farm.

In preparation, the Diamante Verde crew put much effort and energy into creating a "stairway to heaven" making the hike up to the Diamante Verde Sanctuary (garden/falls/caves) more accessible in the wet season, give thanks! While speaking of the gardenÖwith the help of many loving hands, this little Eden has blossomed into a source of joy and abundance, allowing us all to reap what has been sown!

The Baru Falls (HOME) Farm crew, after having recently 'almost' completed nine open air casitas offering comfortable accommodations for 30 people, barely had a chance to breathe before preparing for the Summer youth groups. In a heroic effort, which united our work crews from the Sanctuary and the Farm, we built additional compost toilets and showers, new paths & steps between the casitas, and a new kitchen with two beautiful murals painted by our artist friends. This facility is now open to host tour groups, internships and retreats! (starting again in December), Check our website: new website: www.heavenonmotherearth.org and the Heaven on Mother Earth Community tribe on tribe.net for updates)

Once preparations were completed, we enjoyed with more grace than ever before, a fantastic Summer of youth groups. Each week 15-20 high school kids from all over the US spent three days with the community. At the Diamante Verde Sanctuary, the kids learned about medicinal plants in the garden, rappelled down the waterfall into the cave, ate magnificent meals prepared with foods from the garden, swam in natural pools, and experienced a higher limbs yoga class. Back at the HOME Farm the students rappelled Baru Falls and learned about communal living, indulged in gourmet vegetarian cooking, and enjoyed music and heart songs performed by our staff.
For eight weeks we had the pleasure of hosting these groups, accompanied by the friendly and well-trained guides of Rustic Pathways, offering them a once in a lifetime experience to take home and share with their family and friends.

As an unexpected miracle, the co-creation of these intense Summer youth programs,
catalyzed the Baru Falls (HOME) Farm, the Art of Union and the Tree of Life to
synergistically merge into a 'unified' flourishing community,
we call Heaven on Mother Earth.

"HOME Community becomes truly multi-cultural"
With each week our community council circles patiently made progress creating structure and form out of the previous chaos. In June we made a paramount decision to open our community council to devoted members of the Tico community who have grown to embrace our vision of a new-paradigm, multi-cultural community. This step has catapulted us into an accelerated phase of evolution, in which we are learning to embrace cross-cultural perspectives, needs, skills and customs. As an additional bonus, our Spanish-English skills have improved immensely!

With an invitation from Rustic Pathways, one of our community members made an epic Summer Solstice journey to the Cabekares, one of the few remaining indigenous communities who still live remotely up in the Talamanca Mountains. We feel honored to have made this kin-nection and hope to offer the opportunity for groups in the near future to make this journey.

As we 'rappelled' and 'hiked' into July, our English teachers returned , invoking the interest of previous local pupils and many new ones, who are enthusiastically learning the English language by this wonderful team! At the same time we bade farewell to the three Chapman girls, who were invited to join the circus for a three week tour through France, Germany and Austria. We experienced a moment of anxiousness, when we heard rumors of them deciding to travel to Africa as street musicians, but then all felt joy when their mom was able to join them in France for and extra three weeks! They have since all returned, feeling energized and illuminated.

While they were gone, we received two of our international ambassadors who have been masterminding an expanded land liberation and sustainable development plan. After a week of walking the seven parcels of community land and sharing visions, we harmonized on a vision for the 40-acre Escaleras parcel -- to create a high-end permaculture village for teachers and elders. This "mentors center" will offer 15-20 HOME sites along with an aesthetic retreat/conference center, where mentors will be able to share their teachings. Look for updates on the Art of Union website for more details.

August...September... into rainy season
When July welcomed August, we relaxed and were able to expand our cultural endeavors. We have started offering classes in NVC (non-violent communication) and leadership training, and we initiated a music instrument craftshop. Two of our community representatives, who have spent the summer in New York City, organized and put on a fund-raising benefit in the Hamptons, to support our community projects and future land liberation. And recently an 'intuitive guidance' playshop was offered at the HOME Farm. During this month we also offered our love and grace to honor Joshua and Luna, our dear friends from True Nature Community who were wed in sacred matrimony.

Displaying discipline and unity, the newly-elected HOME Community Council successfully achieved consensus on the creation of a broad spectrum of sub-committees , to enhance and nurture all aspects of our community relations -- a milestone in the formation of our community. For more information on the happenings of the community council, follow the community council forum on the website.

Another exciting (and long-awaited) vision has recently taken root in the streets of San Isidro. The Heaven on Mother Earth urban oasis, unofficially called the 'Revolution Café' including a vegetarian restaurant, internet cafe, and music venue has begun with the renovation of a peaceful city block on the east side of town. For more information on this development please see :
http://www.therevolutionproject.org

Within the realm of sacred services that we are offering to the local community, we have decided to help one of our devoted Tico families build a house at the base of the Diamante Verde Sanctuary. This family has been intimately involved with the renovations of the Diamante Verde Sanctuary over the past two years, and in December they are being forced out of the house they are now renting in Las Tumbas. We need to raise $6,000 in the next few weeks to build this house. For more information or to make donations, please see the Sacred Services page of the Art of Union website.

Rain is falling more frequently this time of the year, sometimes even while the sun is shining… often surprising us with colorful rainbows across the sky!! Time for indoor activities, reading, writing, painting, updating our website, and planning next years events and programs. At this time, several of our community members are returning to the states to raise funds for and spread awareness about our HOME in Costa Rica. One of us is evolving through selfless service to the Divine Mother in India. Meanwhile others will stay here, maintain the gardens, develop cottage industries, and nurture our relations.

As we reap the benefits of organization and unity, we already have a blossoming array of programs scheduled for the next year, beginning with the first Celestine Journey retreat this November.
Beginning just after Christmas is the third annual Guardians of Eden pilgrimage and Ethnobotanical Symposium.
Starting in January we will be offering our first Art of Union /HOME Community 3-month intensive internship program.

We know these are challenging times for many people in many parts of the world and we feel honored and blessed to be kin-nected to each of you, who we know are also participating in the co-creation of positive, life-enhancing, abundance generating, world-harmonizing manifestations across the planet.

We hope you enjoyed reading about our evolving community. May 'our story' inspire you to participate in our expanding spectrum of internships, retreats, tours and other programs, to donate in support of our sacred services and land liberation fund, or simply to continue shining your light.

May gratitude fulfill us abundantly!!

Light and love from all of us.
